This 2017 collection featured the use of silk chiffon, a fabric I've always been a little bit reluctant to use because of its delicate temperament, but I really wanted to cross the boundaries of my comfort zone, so I went for it. The results were so much more than I expected. I wanted to highlight the etherealness of the fabric, so linings were shortened on some styles, and the results were pure magic. I forget how much I love all these designs in black. [shown: the 'Gwenn' silk crepe full length halter gown]
So many beautiful dresses going out this week! You guys have good taste! [the 'Keira' bridal gown in Off White]
Up close and personal details from the Lila bridal dress' organza tie sash for a great client. All our details are made with great care and love. #designlife
The 'Melinda' will be back soon, by popular demand! I love this dress because it is one of my very first styles, from my very first collection. It still looks amazing today, which means it has officially reached 'classic' status!
I wore the 'Anastasia' to a wedding several years ago, and I felt like I was floating in a dreamy sea of clouds and romance. No, like seriously.
Thank you Whitne, for sharing photos from your lovely wedding in Jersey. The beautiful bridesmaids wore Dolly Pearl. Loving this soft color palette though. [photo credit: All My Love Photography]
We live in a period of instant gratification. I mean it's great to be able to order something and have waiting for you at your door the next day or a few days later. But isn't it nice to know that on such an important occasion and milestone in your life, that your dress is lovingly put through a thoughtful process, made locally and independently in the hands of people who genuinely care that you look beautiful and your absolute best on your big day? To me it's a metaphor for relationships in a way, especially in our day and age. Patience and time is almost becoming obsolete in the sea of now's. I'd like to see everything slow down a bit, appreciation for care and quality to resurface, and for us to look around and appreciate the process.
Where there is love, there is life. Giving thanks to the simple things in life, and all the good people I love.
I'm super excited to announce that a lovely selection of our best styles will be available to order in bridal shades of white for the online bridal shop. Bridal Fashion Week wrapped up today, and I hope that everyone had a really great one. I met so many amazing people, and am surrounded by so much love and support. This week has left me feeling inspired, motivated, and focused. It's not easy being small and independent among all the big players in the industry. I was blessed to meet and speak with others in my category, and felt truly encouraged. I'm so proud of my line, my work, and how much it's evolved, and improved. I am more proud that everything is made with love and care, here in America (which is still and has always been GREAT no matter what people say). Thank you to everyone who has believed in the line enough to take a chance. I am still creating, finding ways to improve quality, while staying true to my aesthetic. In a time where fashion is cheap and disposable, it is comforting to know that there are still people out there who care about thoughtful design and locally made. While "cheap" and "disposable" sells, it still will never compare to things made with time, care, and heart. I have never been more aware of the saying "support local". I will never stop creating and supporting those who do the same. My heart is full. Thank you.
